Hearing experience

16% of adult Europeans suffer from hearing loss, which affect their daily life and in worse case cause isolation from the social activities.

In Europe, about 71 million adults have a hearing loss greater than 25 dB, which is the definition of hearing impairment recognised by the World Health Organisation, WHO. In the EU alone, the number of people with hearing loss is more than 55 million. Unfortunately only a fraction of those people use hearing aids.

In USA 48 million (20%) Americans have some degree of hearing loss According to the National Center for Health Statistics. It is a public health issue third in line after heart disease and arthritis.

Hearing loss is inexpensive to treat, and surveys have demonstrated that modern hearing aids promote general well-being and improve the quality of life of those who use them. In public venues a well-designed hearing environment with quality induction loop system will increment the benefits of hearing aids even further.

Hearing experience is a combination of background noise, acoustics and sound reinforcement system. For hearing aid users the quality of the sound transmission system defines the quality of the hearing experience. Well-designed, properly installed and calibrated induction loop system is the easiest and cheapest hearing assistive system. The greatest difference between Induction Loops and other assistive listening technologies is that users do not need to be given a receiver; they already have one!

Qlu Ltd. has developed technology, which will help to visualize the hearing environment in different types of venues from concert halls to meeting rooms, to be able to provide the best possible hearing experience for the hearing aid users. Hearing aid users will know exactly where to sit to get the most out of their hearing aids.

We visualize the hearing environment to be able to provide best possible hearing experience to the hearing aid users.
